The LSU Tigers return to action on Sunday afternoon, when coach Johnny Jones’ squad travels to Houston, Texas to take on the Houston Cougars in a non-conference match-up.

Tipoff time at Hofheinz Pavilion is set for 4:30 pm.

LSU, who defeated North Florida, 119-108, back on December 2, is 4-3 on the young season, while Houston, who lost to Rhode Island, 67-57, on Tuesday night, is currently 51.

The Tigers are outscoring the opposition, 82.7/71.8, and outshooting them from the floor, 45%/43%, while being outrebounded, 42.9/40.6.

LSU is led by freshman forward Ben Simmons, who is averaging who averaging 19.9 points, to go along with 14.9 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard Tim Quarterman, who is averaging 13.7, and 4.4, respectively.

Houston, members of the American Athletic Conference, is outscoring opponents, 85.2/65.8, and outshooting the opposition, 51%/43%, while also holding down a 40.0/32.0 rebounding advantage.

The Cougars are paced by sophomore guard Rob Gray, Jr., who is averaging 17.7 points, to go along with 3.0 rebounds a contest.
