The second-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Friday night, when they travel to Athens, Georgia to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the opening game of a three-game SEC series.

The series marks the sixth conference series of the year for both squads.

Winners of 10 of their last 12, LSU is currently 32-6, overall, and 10-5 in SEC play, good enough for second place in the SEC West, one-and-a-half games behind the Texas A&M Aggies.

Offensively, the Tigers are hitting a .319, along with 36 home runs, 254 runs batted in, and 65 stolen bases in 83 attempts, while out-scoring the opposition, 277-140.

Pitching-wise, LSU sports an overall, combined, team ERA. of 3.02, compared to a 6.14 for the opposition, while holding foes to a .239 batting average against.

Georgia heads into the series with a record of 20-18, overall, and 6-9 in SEC play.

The Bulldogs are hitting a .274 as a team as season ago, along with 29 homers, 191 RBI’s, and 52 steals in 62 attempts.

On the hill, Georgia sports a team ERA. of a 4.19, holding opponents to a .247 batting average against.

LSU leads the all-time series, 62-21-3.

Game times for the series are 6 o’clock on Friday night, 1pm on Saturday afternoon, and noon on Sunday afternoon.

If both schools use the same pitching rotations as they did last weekend, they will be as follows:
