The LSU Tiger men's basketball team picked up a non-conference home win on Tuesday evening, defeating the McNeese St. Cowboys, 73-48, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.

The Tigers led at the half, 38-22, and then coasted to the 25-point victory.

LSU out-shot McNeese St., 44%-30%, and also out-rebounded the Cowboys by a count of 43-25.

Leading the way for the Tigers was junior forward Shavon Coleman, who scored a game-high 25 points, and pulled down a game-high ten rebounds, while sophomore guard Kevin Hardy paced the Cowboys in a losing cause with 18 points.

With the win LSU improved to 2-0, while McNeese St. fell to 1-1.

The Tigers return to action next Tuesday, when they host Northwestern St.
