The young LSU Tigers (9-4) basketball team faced their toughest test of the season Saturday afternoon at the PMAC in Baton Rouge. It proved to be a stiff test as the #11 Florida Gators (12-2) routed the young Tigers 74-52.

Florida guard Kenny Boynton scored 20 points for the Gators, while Center Patric Young added 14.

LSU struggled to score Saturday, shooting a paltry 32.2% from the field. LSU guard Anthony Hickey scored 15, but was the only starter to reach double-figures. Shavon Coleman added 11 off the bench.

After beginning the season 6-0, Johnny Jones' squad has lost 4 of 7. LSU will try to end their two-game skid on Wednesday when they host South Carolina. Tip-off versus the Gamecocks is set for 7:00.
