Two members of the LSU football team were honored by the SEC today, less than 48 hours after their 30-27 road win against the Florida Gators.

Freshmen running back Leonard Fournette made the first start of his career Saturday night, making the most of it by leading all rushers with 140 yards and 2 touchdowns. On top of his rushing, Fournette added 85 yards on kick returns, finishing with 225 all-purpose yards.

For his efforts, Fournette was recognized as the co-SEC Freshmen of the Week, sharing the honor with Georgia Bulldog running back Nick Chubb.

Fournette had success running behind the LSU offensive line, who played their best game of the 2014 season. Junior guard Vadal Alexander was dominant against a talented Gator defensive line, playing every LSU snap, tallying 11 knockdowns.

Vadal was honored today as the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week.
