The 8th-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Saturday evening, when coach Les Miles’ squad plays host to the Mississippi St. Bulldogs in the SEC opener for both teams at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The game marks the third game of a four-game home stand for the Tigers.

LSU, who defeated Sam Houston St., 31-0, last Saturday, is 3-0 on the year, while Mississippi St., who beat South Alabama, 35-3, last week, is also currently 3-0.

Offensively, LSU is averaging 38.3 points, 440.3 total yards, 214 rushing yards, and 226.3 passing yards per game, while Mississippi St. is averaging 43.7 points, 526.6 yards of total offense, 260.3 rushing yards, and 266.3 passing yards per game.

Defensively, the Tigers are allowing 8.0 points, 206.0 total yards, 111.3 rushing yards, and 97.3 passing yards a contest, while the Bulldogs are giving up 12.3 points, 392.0 total yards, 80.3 rushing yards, and 311.7 passing yards per match-up.

LSU is led by sophomore quarterback Anthony Jennings, who has thrown for 566 yards, with five touchdowns and one interception this year, along with senior running back Kenny Hilliard, who has accumulated 215 rushing yards, including three touchdowns, on 41 carries, and sophomore receiver Travin Dural, who has 370 receiving yards, including four touchdowns.

Mississippi St. is paced by junior quarterback Dak Prescott, who has thrown for 696 yards, with nine touchdowns, along with junior running back Josh Robinson, who has rushed for 288 yards and three touchdowns, and senior receiver Jameon Lewis, who has 107 receiving yards.

The Tigers are 69-35-3, all-time, against the Bulldogs, and have won 14-consecutive games, as well as 21 of the last 22, including a 59-26 win last year.
