The LSU Tiger men's basketball team captured another SEC home win on Wednesday evening, defeating the Georgia Bulldogs, 61-53, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge.

The win was the fourth straight for the Tigers, who have also won five of their last six, and are now 6-1 at home in conference play this year.

LSU led the game at the half, 29-23, and then held on for the eight-point win.

The Tigers out-shot the Bulldogs from the field, 42%-40%, and also had a 33-29 rebound advantage.

LSU was led by guard Andre Stringer, who had a game-high 18 points, while guard Gerald Robinson paced Georgia with 17 points.

With the victory, LSU improved to 17-10 overall, and 7-6 in SEC play, while Georgia fell to 12-15 overall, and 3-10 in league play.
