LSU Men’s Basketball Bests Alabama, 67-58
The LSU Tiger men's basketball team picked-up an SEC home win on Saturday, defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide, 67-58, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Tigers led it at the the half, 31-15, and then coasted to the nine-point win.
LSU was able to out-shoot Alabama from the field, 49%-41%, and were also able to out-rebound Alabama, 28-26.
Leading the way for the Tigers was junior center Justin Hamilton, who had 21 points, to go along with six rebounds, while Rodney Cooper led the Crimson Tide in a losing cause, with a game-high 28 points.
With he win, LSU improved to 14-10 overall, and 4-6 in SEC play, while Alabama fell to 16-8 overall, and 5-5 in league play.
