LSU Loses To Kentucky, 75-70

The LSU men's basketball team fell on the road in SEC action on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 75-70 decision to the Kentucky Wildcats, in a match-up played in Lexington, Kentucky.
Kentucky led at the half, 42-31, and then held off a big LSU second half rally to secure the 5-point win.
The Wildcats out-shot the Tigers from the field, 52%-40%, and also finished with a 33-23 rebound advantage.
LSU stayed in the game by shooting 8-of-20 from beyond the three-points arc, while holding Kentucky to only 2-of-11 from that distance, while also forcing 17 Wildcat turnovers.
Alex Pythress led the way for Kentucky, scoring 20 points, while Johnny O'Bryant III paced LSU in a losing cause, with a game high 21 points.
With the victory, the Wildcats improved to 13-6 overall, and 4-2 in SEC play, while the Tigers fell to 10-7 overall, and 1-5 in league play.
LSU returns to action on Wednesday night, when they host Missouri.
