The ninth-ranked LSU Tigers play host to the third-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday evening, in an SEC match-up, at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

LSU fell lost for the first time this season last dropping, falling to the Florida Gators, 14-6, in SEC play, dropping the Tigers to 5-1 overall, and 1-1 in league play, while South Carolina stand unbeaten with a 35-7 SEC win over the Georgia Bulldogs, improving the Gamecocks to 6-0 overall, and 4-0 in league play.

The Tigers are led offensively by running back Kenny Hilliard, who has rushed for 382 yards and six touchdowns on 58 carries, while the Gamecocks are led by running back Marcus Lattimore, who has accumulated 549 rushing yards, to go along with nine touchdowns, on 116 carries.

LSU has won the four games between the two schools, with the last South Carolina victory coming back in 1994.
