The 17th-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Saturday evening, when coach Les Miles’ squad plays host to the New Mexico St. Aggies in non-conference action at Tiger  Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The game marks the final game of a four-game home stand for the Tigers, as well as their final non-conference game of the year.

LSU, who lost to Mississippi St., 34-29, last Saturday, is 3-1 on the year, while New Mexico St., who fell to New Mexico, 38-35, last week, is 2-2.

Offensively, LSU is averaging 35.7 points, 355.1 total yards, 202.6 rushing yards, and 152.5 passing yards per game, while New Mexico St. is averaging 30.2 points, 425.8 yards of total offense, 159.0 rushing yards, and 266.8 passing yards per game.

Defensively, the Tigers are allowing 11.3 points, 261.5 total yards, 90.1 rushing yards, and 171.4 passing yards a contest, while the Aggies are giving up 30.2 points, 422.5 total yards, 299.2 rushing yards, and 123.2 passing yards per match-up.

LSU is led by sophomore quarterback Anthony Jennings, who has thrown for 723 yards, with five touchdowns and one interception this year, along with senior running back Kenny Hilliard, who has accumulated 247 rushing yards, including four touchdowns, on 50 carries, and sophomore receiver Travin Dural, who has 494 receiving yards, including four touchdowns.

New Mexico St. is paced by sophomore quarterback Tyler Rogers, who has thrown for 1,056 yards, with nine touchdowns, along with freshman running back Larry Rose III, who has rushed for 269 yards and one touchdown, and sophomore receiver Teldrick Morgan, who has 464 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

The Tigers won the only previous match-up between the two programs, 63-7, back in 1966.
