The ninth-ranked LSU Tigers return to action on Saturday evening, as coach Les Miles' squad plays host to the 22nd-ranked Mississippi St. Bulldogs, in an SEC match-up at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

LSU lost to top-ranked Alabama last week, 21-17, to fall to 7-2 overall, and 3-2 in SEC play, while Mississippi St. lost to Texas A&M, 38-13, to also fall to 7-2 overall, and 3-2 in league play.

Tiger quarterback Zach Mettenberger had the best game of his LSU career last week against Alabama, completing 24-of-35 passes, for 298 yards, and a touchdown. For the season, Mettenberger 1,717 yards and four eight scores.

Tyler Russell, the junior quarterback for the Bulldogs, has thrown for 1,954 yards, along with 16 touchdowns, while being picked-off just three times.

LSU leads the all-times series, 67-35-3, including 12-consecutive wins.

Kick-off time is set for 6 o'clock.
