The LSU Tigers return to action on Saturday, when coach Johnny Jones’ squad plays host to the Mississippi St. Bulldogs in an SEC match-up.

Tipoff time at the Maravich Center is set for 5 o’clock.

LSU, who defeated Auburn, 80-68, on Tuesday, is 14-8, overall, and 7-2 in SEC play, while Mississippi St., who lost to Alabama, 82-80, in overtime, also on Tuesday night, is currently 9-12, and 2-7, respectively.

The Tigers are outscoring the opposition, 81.0/75.7, and outshooting them from the floor, 47%/44%, while holding down a 39.1/37.3 rebound advantage.

LSU is led by freshman forward Ben Simmons, who is averaging 19.5 points, to go along with 12.5 rebounds-per-game, and sophomore forward Craig Victor, who is averaging 13.0, and 6.3, respectively.

Mississippi St. is outscoring opponents, 76.6/74.5, and outshooting the opposition, 47%/44%, while being outrebounded, 36.9/34.1.

The Bulldogs are paced by senior forward Gavin Ware, who is averaging 16.3 points, to go along with 7.3 rebounds a contest.
