The LSU Tigers are back in action on Saturday evening, when coach Les Miles’ squad plays host to the third-ranked Ole Miss Rebels in a key SEC showdown.

The game is the second of a three-game home stand for the Tigers.

LSU, who defeated Kentucky, 41-3, last Saturday, is currently 6-2, overall, and 2-2 in SEC play, while Ole Miss, who beat Tennessee, 34-3, last week, improved to 7-0, overall, while standing at 4-0 in league play.

Offensively, LSU is averaging 35.6 points, 415.2 total yards, 220.9 rushing yards, and 194.4 passing yards per game, while Ole Miss is averaging 35.4 points, 433.3 yards of total offense, 184.2 rushing yards, and 264.3 passing yards per game.

Defensively, the Tigers are allowing 19.0 points, 333.3 total yards, 175.6 rushing yards, and 157.7 passing yards a contest, while the Rebels are giving up 18.7 points, 343.5 total yards, 151.3 rushing yards, and 282.0 passing yards per match-up.

LSU is led by sophomore quarterback Anthony Jennings, who has thrown for 1,048 yards and seven touchdowns, along with freshman running back Leonard Fournette, who has accumulated 544 rushing yards, including seven touchdowns, on 108 carries, and sophomore receiver Travin Dural, who has 665 receiving yards, including seven touchdowns.

Ole Miss is paced by sophomore quarterback Bo Wallace, who has thrown for 1,699 yards, with 17 touchdowns, along with junior running back Jaylen Walton, who has rushed for 347 yards and four touchdowns, and sophomore receiver Laquon Treadwell, who has 458 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

LSU leads the all-time series, 58-40-4, but Ole Miss has won two-straight, including a 27-24 win in Oxford in 2013.

Kickoff time at Tiger Stadium is scheduled for 6:15 pm.
