The LSU Tigers have been selected to play in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl where they will meet Louisville of the Atlantic Coast Conference.  The game is scheduled for December 31 at 10am on ABC.

LSU (7-4) finished 5-2 under new head football coach Ed Orgeron.  Louisville (9-3)  was ranked in the top five a good part of the season, before falling to Houston and Kentucky to close out the regular season.

There was no real shock when the announcement was made of the four teams that will compete for the National Championship in the College Football Playoff.  Alabama, the #1 seed will face #4 Washington in the Chik-Fil-A Peach Bowl at 2pm, while #2 Clemson will take on #3 Ohio State in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl at 6pm.  Both games are on Saturday, Dec. 31.

The other major bowls will feature Western Michigan vs. Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl, USC vs. Penn State in the Rose Bowl, Oklahoma vs. Auburn in the Sugar Bowl and Florida State vs. Michigan in the Orange Bowl.
