The second-ranked LSU Tigers hits the road on Friday evening, when they travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide, in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, SEC series.

LSU is currently 35-3, overall, and 13-2 in SEC play, while Alabama stands at 23-16, overall, and 8-7 in league play.

The Tigers are led, offensively, by senior first baseman Mason Katz, who is hitting a .420, with 13 home runs, and 60 RBI's, which lead the SEC.

The Crimson Tide is paced by Alabama is led at the plate by freshman outfielder Georgie Salem, who is batting .289, with three doubles and 18 RBI's.

Alabama leads the all-time series, 192-158-3, in a series that began in 1906. LSU, however, leads, 34-12, over the last 13 seasons, including capturing six of the last seven SEC series.

Game times for the three-game set are 6:30 pm on Friday night, 7 o'clock on Saturday night, and 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.

SUNDAY--- LSU – TBA vs. Alabama – So. RHP Spencer Turnbull (4-1, 2.30 ERA).
