LSU head coach Paul Mainieri
The second-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Tuesday night, when they travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, to take on the Tulane Green Wave, in a non-conference match-up.
LSU is 22-2 overall this season, while Tulane is currently 14-12.
The Tigers lead the all-time series, which dates all the way back to 1893, 175-125, including four-consecutive wins, with the last Green Wave win coming back in 2010.
LSU is ranked second in this week's USA Today Baseball Top 25 Coaches Poll, right behind top-ranked North Carolina, and right in front of Oregon St., Florida St., and Vanderbilt, who round out the top five.
First-pitch at Turchin Stadium is set for 6:30 pm.
This weekend, LSU returns to SEC play, when they travel to Columbia, Missouri, to take on the Missouri Tigers, in a three-game, weekend, SEC series.
