The 15th-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Saturday evening, when coach Les Miles’ squad travels to Auburn, Alabama to take on the fifth-ranked Auburn Tigers in a big SEC showdown.

The game marks the first of seven-consecutive conference tilts for the Tigers, and the first of four remaining games against teams which are currently ranked in the top 25..

LSU, who defeated New Mexico St., 63-7, last Saturday, is currently 3-1, overall,  on the year, and 0-1 in SEC play, while Auburn, who beat Louisiana Tech, 45-17, last week, improved to 4-0, overall, while standing at 1-0 in league play.

Offensively, LSU is averaging 41.4 points, 462.8 total yards, 226.2 rushing yards, and 236.6 passing yards per game, while Auburn is averaging 42.2 points, 480.0 yards of total offense, 260.5 rushing yards, and 219.5 passing yards per game.

Defensively, LSU is allowing 13.0 points, 292.2 total yards, 161.6 rushing yards, and 130.6 passing yards a contest, while Auburn is giving up 16.2 points, 313.2 total yards, 90.8 rushing yards, and 222.5 passing yards per match-up.

LSU is led by freshman quarterback Brandon Harris, who will be making his first career start. Harris has thrown for 394 yards and six touchdowns, along with freshman running back Leonard Fournette, who has accumulated 322 rushing yards, including four touchdowns, on 56 carries, and sophomore receiver Travin Dural, who has 534 receiving yards, including five touchdowns.

Auburn is paced by senior quarterback Nick Marshall, who has thrown for 548 yards, with six touchdowns, along with senior running back Cameron Artis-Payne, who has rushed for 468 yards and five touchdowns, and junior receiver D'jaquille Williams, who has 357 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

LSU leads the all-time series, 27-20-1, including a 35-21 win a season ago, which turned out to be the only loss for Auburn prior to the BCS title game.
