The LSU Tigers return to action on Saturday, when they play host to the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in an SEC match-up at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.

The game, which marks the sixth home tilt of the year for LSU, as well as the fourth conference home game, will be televised on CBS.

The contest will also be the fourth for the Tigers under the direction of interim head coach Ed Orgeron, who replaced former coach Les Miles, who was fired after the fourth game of the season.

Orgeron is 3-0 as interim head coach, guiding LSU to victories over Missouri, Southern Miss, and Ole Miss.

LSU, who has won three-straight, and five of their last six, was idle last week, after defeating Ole Miss, 38-21, back on October 22, to improve to 5-2, overall, and 3-1 in SEC play.

Offensively, the Tigers are averaging 29.9 points, to go along with 423.7 total yards, including 239.9 rushing yards, and 183.9 passing yards-per-game, while allowing 15.0 points, 313.9 total yards, 104.1 rushing yards, and 209.7 passing yards a contest, defensively.

LSU is led by junior quarterback Danny Etling, who has completed 89-of-147 passes for 1,129 yards and seven touchdowns, along with junior running back Leonard Fournette, who has piled up 683 yards, along with five touchdowns, on 83 carries, and sophomore Derrius Guice, who has compiled 621 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

Alabama, the defending national champions, has won 4 of the last seven national crowns. The Crimson Tide, who was also idle last week, last week, defeated Texas A&M, 33-14, back on October 22, and will enter the match-up at 8-0, overall, and 5-0 in SEC play.

Alabama has won 20-consecutive games, dating back to September 19 of 2015, when they fell to Ole Miss, 43-37.

The Crimson Tide is averaging 43.9 points-per-game, to go along with 498.0 total yards, including 268.4 rushing yards and 229.6 passing yards, while allowing 14.9 points, 274.5 total yards, including 70.1 rushing yards and 204.4 passing yards.

Alabama is paced by freshman Jalen Hurts, who has thrown for 1,549 yards and 11 touchdowns, while running for another 521 yards and 9 scores, and sophomore running back Damien Harris, who has rushed for 697 yards and one touchdown.

This will be 81st meeting between the two schools, with Alabama leading the all-time series, 50-25-5, including 5-consecutive wins, and a 30-16 victory last year.

Kickoff time is set for 7 o’clock.
