The LSU Tigers captured fifth place in the eight-team Charleston Classic basketball tournament on Sunday, defeating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 59-50, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Georgia Tech was able to out-shoot LSU from the field, 42%-33%, but the Tigers were actually able to make one more field goal than the Yellow Jackets (21-20).

LSU was also able to make three more three-point baskets than Georgia Tech, with an 8-5 advantage.

The Tigers were led by freshman guard Anthony Hickey, who scored a game-high 20 points, while junior guard Mfon Udofia paced the Yellow Jackets in a losing cause, with 14 points.

With the win, LSU improves to 3-2 on the year, while Georgia Tech fell to 3-2.
