For the second time in his collegiate career, nose tackle Travonte Valentine has been dismissed from the LSU football program.

"At this point and time, Travonte is no longer part of our football program," LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said in a University press release. "We wish him the best."

At 6-foot-4, 356-pounds, the Tigers had hoped Valentine could develop into a premiere defensive tackle in college football.

After being dismissed in June of 2015, Valentine earned his way back onto the roster last summer, playing in the first 5 games of 2016.

The Miami native did not appear in the last 7 games of the year.
