The 22nd-ranked LSU Tigers kept their 2013 home record spotless, after defeating the 12th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies, 34-10, at Tiger Stadium, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday night.

The win improved LSU's home record to 6-0 this year.

LSU scored first, when Terrence Magee capped off a 5-play, 71-yard drive, with a 1-yard touchdown plunge, giving the Tigers a 7-0 lead.

The score was set up by Magee's 65-yard run, just three plays earlier.

Those points turned out to be the only points scored in the opening period, and proved to be the first time all year that Texas A&M was held scoreless in the opening frame.

The Tigers scored the first points of the second quarter as well, when Zac Mettenberger connected with Jarvis Landry on a 10-yard touchdown pass at the 13:15 mark, wrapping up a 7-play, 65-yard drive, extending their lead to 14-0.

Texas A&M was able to score points of their own before the half ended however, when Johnny Manziel hit Derel Walker with a 51-yard touchdown pass, completing a 3-play, 71-yard drive, to cut the LSU lead to 21-10 at the 1:08 mark of the second frame, a lead they would take into the locker room at halftime.

For LSU, Mettenberger completed 7-of 11 first half passes for 133 yards, along with two touchdowns, while Magee rushed 9 times for 88 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, for Texas A&M  in the opening half, Manziel was 8-of-22 for 151 yards through the air, along with one touchdown.

The Tigers scored on the first possession of the second half, when Colby Delahoussaye capped off a 12-play, 71 yard drive with a 21-yard field goal, extending their lead to 24-10 at the 8:57 mark of the third quarter.

LSU put things away, for all intents and purposes, at the 2:01 mark of the third quarter, when Kenny Hilliard scored on a 2-yard touchdown run, capping off a 9-play, 61-yard drive, to extend the Tigers' lead to 31-10.

The Tigers made it 34-10 at the 7:57 mark of the fourth quarter, on a 36-yard field goal by Delahoussaye.

From there, LSU controlled the clock, and went on to the 24-point win.

LSU out-gained Texas A&M, in terms of total yardage, 517-299, including a 324-75 advantage in the rushing department.

In a losing cause for the Aggies, Manziel completed 16of-41 passes for 224 yards, along with one touchdown, and two interceptions.

By scoring only ten points, Texas A&M had their string of 13-straight games of scoring 40 points, or more, snapped.

With the win, LSU improved to 8-3, overall, and 4-3 in SEC play, while Texas A&M fell to 8-3 overall, and 4-3 in conference play.
