The LSU Tigers recorded an SEC home victory on Wednesday evening, defeating the Mississippi St. Bulldogs, 92-81, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.

The win moves LSU’s current home winning streak to six games, while extending Mississippi St.'s losing streak to eight games.

The Tigers score the first 14 points of the game, before taking a 42-31 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Bulldogs could only to within seven points of the Tigers in the second half, as LSU  on to the 11-point victory.

From the field, LSU out-shot Mississippi St., 51%-50%, while also finishing with a 34-30 rebounding advantage.

Jarel Martin led the way for the Tigers, with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Jordan Mickey added 19.

In a losing cause for the Bulldogs, Craig Sword scored a game-high 33 points.

With the victory, LSU improved to 16-9, overall, and 7-6 in SEC play, while Miss. St. fell to 13-13, overall, and 3-10 in league play.

LSU returns to action on Saturday, when they hit the road to take on the Kentucky Wildcats.
