LSU Defeats McNeese St., 7-3

The third-ranked LSU Tigers picked-up another non-conference win on Tuesday evening, defeating the McNeese St. Cowboys, 7-3, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.
LSU scored the first seven runs of the game, and coasted to the four-run victory, snapping a mini two-game losing streak.
The Tigers were led at the plate by third baseman Christian Ibarra, who went 3-for-4, with a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI, while second baseman Jacoby Jones went 3-for-3, with a run scored, and an RBI.
Starter Hunter Newman (1-0) recorded the win for LSU, while Trey McGee (2-5) suffered the loss for McNeese St.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 40-6 on the season, while the Cowboys fell to 20-22.
