The second-ranked LSU Tigers ran their season-opening win streak to six games on Saturday night, crushing the Toledo Rockets, 15-1, at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field in Baton Rouge, La.

LSU, who outhit Toldeo, 16-9 were led at the plate by Kramer Robertson and Kade Scivicque, who collected three hits each, while Mark Laird and Tyler Moore each had two.

The Tigers fell behind 1-0, as Toledo scored a run in the top half of the second inning.

From there it was all LSU, as they answered with a run in the bottom half of the second inning, three in the third, three more in the fourth, and eight in the fifth, to go on to the easy 14-run victory.

Kyle Bouman (2-0) picked up the win for the Tigers, pitching six innings, allowing seven hits, and no walks, while striking out three.

Cameron Palmer (1-1) suffered the loss for the Rockets, lasting only 2.2 innings, while allowing six hits, three walks, and four runs.

With the victory, LSU improved to 6-0 on the year, while Toledo fell to 2-3

The Tigers wrap-up weekend play on Sunday, when they host Texas Southern at 3 o'clock.
