The LSU Tiger men's basketball team picked-up an SEC home victory on Saturday afternoon, after defeating the Ole Miss Rebels, 81-55, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, in Baton Rouge.

The game marked the SEC opener for both teams.

The Tigers led by as much as 23 points points in the first half, and took a 20-point, 44-24 lead into the locker room at halftime.

LSU then extended their lead to as many as 27 points in the second half, and then coasted to the 81-55 win.

LSU out-shot Ole Miss from the field, 43%-35%, as well as out-rebounding the Rebels, 41-37.

The Tigers were led in the scoring department by Justin Hamilton, who poured in a game-high 23 points, while Storm Warren added 15.

In a losing cause for the Rebels, they were paced by the eight points of Terrance Henry and Jelan Kendrick.

With the win, LSU improves to 11-4 overall, and 1-0 in SEC play, while Ole Miss fell to 10-5 overall, and 0-1 in league play.
