The third-ranked LSU Tigers completed a three-game, weekend, SEC sweep of the Auburn Tigers on Sunday, winning 8-2, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

LSU scored four runs in the bottom half of the first inning, and never looked back, en route to the six-run win.

Outfielder Mark Laird, shortstop Alex Bergman, and first baseman Mason Katz each collected three hits apiece, in a 13-hit LSU attack.

Cody Glenn (4-1) recorded the win for LSU, pitching 7.2 innings, allowing six hits, two runs, and two walks, while striking out two.

Will Kendall (0-1) suffered the loss for Auburn, lasting only two-thirds of an inning, while allowing three hits, two walks, and four runs.

LSU won the first two games of the series, winning 9-4 on Friday night, and 5-1 on Saturday night.

With the win, LSU improved to 22-2 overall, and 5-1 in SEC play, while Auburn dropped to 15-9 overall, and 0-6 in league play.

LSU returns to action on Tuesday evening, when they travel to New Orleans, to take on the Tulane Green Wave, in non-conference action, before returning to SEC play next weekend, when they travel to take on the Missouri Tigers.
