Five weeks into the college football season, LSU was 3-2, coming off a shocking home loss to the Troy Trojans.

With doom and gloom predictions on the short term future of the program, many felt like LSU may struggle to finish 6-6.

What came next was six wins in their final seven games, including a dominant win tonight over the Texas A&M Aggies, 45-21.

"It was 3-2, it was a tough time...but the staff stayed together," said LSU head coach Ed Orgeron after the win. "I'm proud of this football team."

With the win, LSU ends the regular season 9-3, with a chance to reach 10 in a Bowl game.

It was senior night at LSU, and plenty of seniors played outstanding in their final game at Tiger Stadium.

Senior quarterback Danny Etling was outstanding, passing for 347 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Senior running back Darrell Williams finished the night with 162 total yards (106 rushing, 56 receiving) and a touchdown.

Senior wide receiver DJ Chark led the team with 5 catches for 86 yards and a touchdown.

"They went through a lot of transition," said Orgeron of the senior class. "They mean a lot to me and their teammates."

Junior running back Derrius Guice may have also played his final game at Tiger Stadium, with many expecting the standout to turn Pro.

"I don't know," said Guice when asked about whether it was his last game in Death Valley. "There's a lot of decisions going on in my mind."

Guice ended the night with a game-high 127 yards rushing and a score.

"We're a very physical team," noted Guice. "When you come off the ball and dominate, good things happen."

LSU will await word on their Bowl destination.

Several potential Bowls for the Tigers include the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, Outback Bowl or the TaxSlayer Bowl to name a few.
