LSU cornerback Donte Jackson has been ruled academically ineligible for the remainder of the spring semester, according to The Baton Rouge Advocate.

Jackson finished last season as the Tigers 3rd corner, an impressive feat for the true freshmen.

In addition to football, Jackson is a member of the LSU Track team, but will be unable to compete in the outdoor season this spring and summer. He was a two-time Louisiana high school state champion in the 100 and 200 meter dash.

The positive news for Jackson is he has the spring and summer time to get his grades in order. If he does, he will be eligible this fall for football season.
