The #13 LSU Tigers are ready to tangle up with the #14 Wisconsin Badgers tonight in Houston for the season opener tonight at 8:00.

Both squads have uncertainty at the quarterback position. Multiple sources reported this week that sophomore Anthony Jennings (pictured) will start for LSU tonight, though freshmen Brandon Harris will likely see snaps.

Jennings started for LSU in last year's Outback Bowl after Zach Mettenberger tore his ACL in the regular season finale against Arkansas. Jennings led the Tigers to a game-winning drive versus Arkansas, and earned a win in his first start versus Iowa in the bowl game. However, he was inconsistent versus the Hawkeyes, leading many pundtis to debate who should start for LSU this season at quarterback.

Harris enrolled at LSU last January, working throughout spring ball.

"Our team understands that we have talented quarterbacks," LSU head coach Les Miles said earlier this week. "But right now they have not separated themselves, and we are not certain. If we were certain, then I promise you, we would play the one guy that would give us all the advantage. If two guys can give us greater advantage than one guy, then let's certainly play two."

Wisconsin plans to start Tanner McEvoy at quarterback. McEvoy, a Junior from Hillsdale, New Jersey, was moved to safety last season. Now back at quarterback, he'll compete with Joel Stave at the position.

With question marks surrounding the QB position for both teams, look for running backs to get the rock tonight. LSU returns the talented senior duo of Terrance McGee and Kenny Hilliard, along with the highly touted freshmen Leounard Fournette. Fournette's ability has been compared to that of Adrian Peterson by many pundits.

The Badgers have a super talented running back in Melvin Gordon, who rushed for 1,606 yards a season ago.

Wisconsin has won 16 straight season openers, a streak the Tigers look to break tonight.

The SEC vs Big 10 matchup was agreed to be played on a neutral field. The two schools tie it up tonight at NRG stadium in Houston Texas. They'll open the season again versus each other in two years at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
