The top-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Thursday night, when they travel to Hoover, Alabama to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the opening game of a three-game SEC series.

The series marks the fourth conference series of the year for both squads.

Winners of seven of their last ten games, LSU is currently 24-5, overall, and 5-4 in SEC play.

Offensively, the Tigers are hitting a .329, along with 27 home runs, 200 runs batted in, and 44 stolen bases in 60 attempts, while out-scoring the opposition, 216-109.

Alabama heads into the series with a record of 15-12, overall, and 4-5 in SEC play.

The Crimson Tide is hitting a .282 as a team as season ago, along with 11 homers, 143 RBI’s, and 37 steals in 47 attempts.

On the hill, Alabama sports a team ERA. of a 4.20, holding opponents to a .255 batting average against.

Alabama leads the all-time series, 194-163-3.

Game times for the series are 7 o’clock on Thursday night, 7 pm on Friday night, and 2 o' clock on Saturday afternoon.
