The 9th-ranked LSU Tigers recorded an SEC home win on Sunday afternoon, pounding the 10th-ranked Mississippi St. Bulldogs, 17-4, at Alex Box Stadium.

The win completed a three-game, weekend, SEC sweep of the Bulldogs by the Tigers, and extended LSU's current win streak to four games.

Mark Laird and Kade Scivicque each had three hits and three runs batted in, while Scivicque and Christian Ibarra homered, as LSU out-hit Mississippi St., 20-12.

Those 20 hits are the most in a game since 2009, and the 17 runs that LSU scored are the most for the Tigers in an SEC game since they scored 18 runs against Florida last season.

Parker Bugg (1-1) got the win for LSU out of the bullpen, while Dakota Hudson (1-2) suffered the loss for Mississippi St.

With the victory, the Tigers improved to 24-8-1, overall, and 6-5-1 in SEC play, while the Bulldogs fell to 20-13, overall, and 6-6 in league play.

LSU returns to action on Wednesday, when they host Lamar in non-conference play.
