The fourth-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team closes out their 2012 home schedule on Tuesday night, when coach Paul Mainieri's squad plays host to the Nicholls St. Colonels, in non-conference action at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers, who will enter the final regular-season weekend at South Carolina just one game
behind Kentucky and a half-game behind South Carolina in the overall SEC
standings, have already clinched a tie for the top spot in the Western Division.

LSU is currently 39-13 overall on the season, while the Colonels come in at 25-25.

The Tigers are expected to start sophomore right-hander Kurt McCune (2-4, 4.21 era.) on the hill tonight, while Nicholls St. is expected to counter with senior left-hander Mike Wisecarver (1-6, 4.61 era.).
