LSU Baseball Falls To Mississippi St., 3-2 – Recap
The second-ranked LSU Tigers dropped their first game in the 2012 SEC Baseball Tournament on Wednesday afternoon, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Mississippi St. Bulldogs, at Regions Park in Birmingham, Alabama.
Outfielder Raph Rhymes was the only Tiger hitter to get more than one hit in the game, going 2-for-4.
Chris Stratton (11-1) got the win for the Bulldgos, while Joe Broussard (4-1) suffered the loss for LSU.
With the win, Mississippi St. moves to 36-21 on the year, and advances in the winners bracket to take on Kentucky, at approximately 12:30 pm.
LSU, with the loss, fell to 42-15, and will next play an elimination game on Thursday morning, at 9:30 am, against Ole Miss.
