The fourth-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team captured an SEC road win on Friday night, defeating the Ole Miss Rebels, 4-3, in 13 innings, in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, conference series in Oxford, Mississippi.

Designated hittter Grant Dozar paced the Tigers at the plate. Dozar, who drove home the go-ahead run in the 13th inning with a single, went 2-for-5 on the night with a homer and two RBI's.  His solo homer with two outs in the top of the eighth tied the game at 3-3.

Joey Bourgeois (3-2) picked-up the win for LSU, with Nick Goody recording his ninth save, while R.J. Hively (5-3) suffered the loss for the Rebels.

With the win, LSU improved to 37-10 overall, and 15-7 in SEC play, while Ole Miss fell to 30-17 overall, and 10-12 in league play.

The two team meet for the middle game of the series on Saturday at 2 o'clock.
