The second-ranked LSU Tigers remain alive in the 2012 SEC Baseball Tournament, after defeating the Ole Miss Rebels, 11-2, in an elimination game on Thursday,  at Regions Park, in Hoover Alabama.

Third-baseman Tyler Hanover led the way at the plate for the Tigers, going 4-for-5, with two runs scored, while shortstop Austin Nola went 3-for-5, with three runs, and an RBI.

Kevin Gausman (10-1) picked of the win for LSU on the hill, while Tanner Bailey (2-2) suffered the loss for the Rebels.

With the win, LSU improved to 43-15 and advanced to the quarterfinal round at 3 o'clock on Friday against the loser of the Kentucky-Mississippi State game. Ole Miss (35-24) was eliminated from the tournament with Thursday's loss.
