The tenth-ranked LSU Tigers completed an SEC series sweep on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Auburn Tigers, 8-1, in the final game of a season-ending, three-game, conference series in Auburn, Alabama.

The win followed 10-0 and 11-3 LSU victories in the first two games, as the Tigers ended their year on a four-game win streak.

LSU outscored Auburn in the three-game set, 29-4.

LSU scored two runs in the second, one in the fourth, and then put things completely out of reach in the seventh, with five runs, as they coasted to the seven-run win.

Kade Scivique led LSU at the plate, going 3-for-4, with a home run, two runs scored, and two runs batted in, while Jake Fraley and Andrew Stevenson each added two hits apiece, as LSU outhit Auburn, 11-7.

Kyle Bouman (4-2) recorded his fourth win of the year for LSU, allowing four and one run over five innings, along with two strikeouts.

Dillon Ortman (9-5) suffered the loss for Auburn.

With the victory, LSU improved to 40-14-1, overall, and 17-11-1 SEC play, while Auburn fell to 28-28, overall, and 10-20 in league play.

LSU will enter the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama next Wednesday as either the #3 or #4 seed.
