The 13th-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team picked up a non-conference home win on Tuesday night, defeating the Grambling St. Tigers, 17-10, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

Outfielder Raph Rhymes led the way at the plate for LSU, going 4-for-6, with two runs scored, and six rbi's.

Joe Broussard (1-0) pitched 2.2 innings of relief to pick up the win for LSU, with starter Joel Deleon (0-2) suffering the loss for Grambling St.

With the win, LSU improved to 6-2 on the season, while Grambling St. fell to 5-3.
