An analyst for LSU is leaving for a return to the professional football ranks.

Coyle will continue to work with LSU, at least for the time being.

The 62-year old Coyle, who came to LSU after serving as defensive backs coach for the Cincinnati Bengals for the last two seasons, has served as a defensive coordinator on multiple stops, including Holy Cross (1986-1990), Syracuse (1991-1993), Maryland (1994-1996), and Fresno St. (1997-2000) at the collegiate level, and the Miami Dolphins (2012-2015) in the NFL ranks.

The AAF plans to begin its inaugural, 10-week season on February 9, 2019.
