It may have been an attractive matchup here in SEC country, but last night's LSU-Alabama rematch for the BCS title was the least watched BCS title game ever.

The overnight rating for the game was a 13.8, meaning 13.8 percent of households were tuned into the contest.  The previous low was 14.3 when Miami met Nebraska in 2002.

The game also was off 14% from last year's Auburn/Oregon game and down 24% from Texas-Alabama two years ago.

The game did slightly better than the regular season matchup on CBS, which drew an 11.9.

The two teams played on November 5th in  a game where neither team scored a touchdown.  That was the same scenario last night until Trent Richardson's 30 yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
