The first Frontier flight from Lafayette Regional Airport took off shortly after 10:00 AM this morning. Flights on Frontier are priced far below flights on American Airlines, United and Delta. One-Way flights on Frontier start at $20. Right now, flights are scheduled every other day and will initially serve Denver and Orlando.

Inside the airport today, there are notably more seats for passengers. The A320 planes the airline is using is much larger than the regional jets the other airlines use to serve Acadiana. That means more passengers in the current terminal and more people to pick them up when they arrive.
