The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are in San Marcos this weekend to take on Texas State in a three game Sun Belt Conference series at Bobcat Ballpark.

Game times are scheduled for 6pm Friday, 3pm Saturday and 1pm Sunday.  But, as has been the case much of the season, mother nature may play a role in the schedule. The weather forecast is calling for heavy rain late Friday afternoon.

The Cajuns plan to start freshman lefty Gunner Leger (3-2, 3.63 ERA) in game one.  Another Freshman, right hander Evan Guillory (3-0, 3.75) will get the start in game two.  With Greg Milhorn out with a groin injury, the Cajuns' game three starter is TBA.

Texas State (17-18-1, 906 Sun Belt) will throw a trio of right handed starters against the Cajuns (21-14, 8-6).  Lucas Humpel (4-3, 5.29) gets the game one start, while Scott Grist (2-3, 4.07) will get the game two start.  Each will be making his tenth start of the season.  Jeremy Hallonqiust (4-0, 2.05) will start for the fourth time this season.

The Cajuns come into the weekend with a .282 team batting average, good for third in the league.  The Cajuns are second in pitching with a 3.50 team ERA, and their .963 fielding percentage is eighth on the conference.

Texas State has a team batting average of ,235, last in the Sun Belt.  Their team ERA of 4.85 is ninth, and they are seventh in fielding (.964.)

All three games will be heard on News/Talk 96.5 KPEL-FM or online at www.kpel965.com. The broadcast is also available on radioPup, a free app for smart phones.
