Lose 5 lbs In 3 Days By Drinking Wine?

Glasses of white wine

A diet that includes drinking a bottle of vino everyday. Wine not?

And, yes, this is an actual diet. According to The Daily Mail, this 1970’s fad diet was pioneered by author Helen Gurley Brown in her 1962 book Sex and the Single Girl.

You might think a diet that involves drinking a bottle of wine each day sounds like a grand old time, but just wait until you see what else this bad boy entails.

Breakfast: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 glass dry white wine, black coffee

Lunch: 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 glasses dry white wine, black coffee

Dinner: 5 oz. grilled steak with black pepper and lemon juice, the rest of the wine, black coffee

Honestly, another bottle of wine seems necessary. I mean, if I’m living off of a few eggs and 5 oz. of steak for 3 days I’m going to need a little bit more alcohol to help me forget how hungry I am!

Not to mention, you’d have to do this diet over a long weekend. I don’t know about you, but I doubt my boss would be cool with me drinking 2 glasses of wine during my lunch break.

Would you try the wine diet?
