New Orleans Hornets center Robin Lopez (pictured) was tired of losing..and so were his teammates. Wednesday night in Orlando, Lopez propelled his team to a 97-94 victory over the Magic, snapping an 11-game losing streak.

From the start, Lopez was extremely efficient. The Hornets fed the 7-foot 255 pound center in the paint. Robin took advantage of Magic enter Nikola Vucevic, using nifty post moves to get in the paint. Lopez finished with a career-best 29 points on 9-10 shooting from the field. He was also 11-12 from the charity stripe.

"That comes from my teammates. They look for me. They're giving me looks," Lopez said of his offensive outburst. "We've been scrapping, but it's just one game. We want to string together a few."

New Orleans guard Greivis Vasquez was fantastic as well, scoring a season-best 27 points, dishing out 8 assists, pulling down 6 rebounds, and limiting his turnovers to 4.

Rookie Anthony Davis finished with a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds), while forward Ryan Anderson contributed 15 points in his first game against his former team.

Orlando got 28 points and 10 rebounds from point guard Jameer Nelson, and 19 points from Vucevic.

Wednesday's headlines also gave the Hornets a late Christmas present. Star guard Eric Gordon, who has missed the entire season with a knee injury, will be returning to the Hornets lineup soon, possibly as soon as Saturday's road game versus the Charlotte Bobcats.

Next up, a Friday night game at the Hive against the Toronto Raptors. Tip-off is set for 7:00.
