Long Wins Sun Belt POW for Third Time

For the third time this season, Louisiana's Shawn Long has been named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week.

Long, a sophomore from Morgan City, scored a career high 31 points in Thursday's win over UT Arlington, and followed that with his 13th double double of the season Saturday, with twenty points and 13 rebounds in the win over Texas State.  Long's basket after an offensive rebound brought the Cajuns within two points with 20.9 seconds remaining, a game the Cajuns won 67-66.

The game against UTA was the second time this season Long has scored at least 30 points.  He also has a dozen twenty point games this season.
