Jim Hightower is a legend at St. Thomas More High School. In his four decades as a coach, he never led a losing team. This year should be no different.

The Cougars were a couple plays away from a state championship last season. A few key pieces, including Quarterback Will Bellamy and Receiver Trevor Begue, won't be back in 2016. They're off to the next phase in their lives, and its next man up for the rest of the roster.

Coach Hightower stopped by "The Cheap Seats" (6-7 pm, Monday-Friday on ESPN 1420) to preview the 2016 season, and he even mentioned his recent induction into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. He names some leaders for this season's squad, including the top candidate to play starting QB; he talks about Griffin Hebert's possible breakout season as a pass catcher and playmaker, and he breaks down an incredibly tough schedule.

With Hightower at the helm, we know STM is poised to make noise. Football season is right around the corner, and Coach is ready.
