Leger Named Pitcher of the Week by LSWA

Louisiana sophomore left hander Gunner Leger has been named the Pitcher of the Week in Louisiana by the Louisiana Sports Writer's Association.

It's the first LSWA Pitcher award for the Cajuns this season.

Leger, a sophomore from Lake Charles, was stellar in the Cajuns' win over Little Rock on Saturday.  He allowed just three hits and one run in six innings of work, with seven strikeouts and just one walk.  Leger is now 2-1 on the season with a sparkling 1.52 ERA.
