LeBron James is headed back to the team that originally drafted him.

James announced today he has chosen to resume his career in the city where he began it and will play for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In a statement, James said his relationship with Northeast Ohio was bigger than basketball.  James is a native of Akron.

James played seven seasons with the Cavs before signing with Miami four years ago.  He made one finals appearance with the Cavs and won two titles with the Heat.  James has won the MVP award four times in his career.

James made the announcement in an interview with SI.com.
