UL junior guard Keke Veal

 

Junior guards Keke Veal and Kia Wilridge, two members of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team were each named to the All-Sun Belt Conference Basketball Team, which was released on Tuesday.

The duo was both named to the third team, after helping the Cajuns to an overall record of 18-11, their best mark since the 2005-2006 season.

Veal, a 5-foot-6 native of Opelousas, averaged 13.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.2 steals for Louisiana this season, while Wilridge, a 5-foot-5 native of Crowley, ­averaged 12.3 points, along with a team-high 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 3.0 steals per contest.

Louisiana, the No. 6 seed in the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Tournament, will face third-seeded Troy on Wednesday in a 7:30 p.m. contest at New Orleans' Lakefront Arena.2
