Dallas Keuchel, pitching on three days rest, continued his mastery over the New York Yankees, throwing six shutout innings as the Houston Astros defeated New York 3-0 in the American League WIld Card game at Yankee Stadium Tuesday night.

Keuchel's six scoreless innings gave him 22 innings against the Yankees this season without allowing a run.

Colby Rasmus and Carlos Gomez homered for Houston and Jose Altuve drove in an insurance run in the seventh inning before a season high 50,113 in the Bronx.

Rasmus hit a towering home run off Yankees' starter Masahiro Tanaka in the second inning to give the Astros an early run.  Gomez followed with his homer in the fourth inning.  Altuve's RBI came off Dillen Betances.

The maligned Astros bullpen, which had the majors worst ERA in September, got the job done.  Tony Sipp worked around a one out walk in the seventh, Will Harris pitched a perfect eighth and Luke Gregerson got the Yankees in order in the ninth.  The four pitchers held the Yankees to three singles.

Houston will now face Kansas CIty in the American League Division Series beginning Thursday in Kansas City.
